THANKSGIVING DEVOTIONAL!!! #blessed

THANKFUL

“The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang, “He is good; His love endures forever.”  2 Chronicles 5:13

There is so much to be thankful for, a simple blog could never cover the amount of love God has given us and our many blessings. On Thanksgiving, we give it up to the Lord. We thank Him and praise Him. HE is our CREATOR and SAVIOR.

Deeper Meaning

I sometimes go days without thanking the Lord for all He has done. Even though I say this prayer every day:

Bless us, Oh Lord,
and these thy gifts which
we are about to receive from thy bounty,
through Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.

I don’t always truly remember the deeper meaning. God has given us SO MANY gifts (not only that yummy turkey you’ll be eating hahaha) but our soul, family, friends, virtues, and life as well. One of my favorite verses when thinking about being thankful to God is the first part of Acts 17:28: “For in Him we live and move and exist.” We are alive because of all because of Christ. You were able to eat breakfast with your family, shower, watch a movie with your friend, play fetch with your dog- because He wills that you continue to live. It is the ultimate reason to show our gratitude.

Everday, proclaim His love and thank the Lord. Here, take 10 seconds to think about all the beautiful blessing you have to thank him for and simply pray.

10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1 “Thank you, God.”

GRATITUDE ATTITUDE

This Thanksgiving, in the midst of turkey, pie, football, and parties, don’t forget to take some time treasuring God’s goodness to you. Thank him, praise him, and “let those delivered by the Lord speak out.” Even in the darkest of times, thank Him. He will be there to open the curtain for the light to shine through and to keep you company in the hardest of times. His love for us surpasses ALL. Use your every breath and every action to spread kindness.

“I will thank you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High” (Psalm 9:1-2, New Living Translation).

guess who’s family decided to go on a trip AGAin, yep, that’s right- the Hoangs. My family and I decided on Thursday night that we should use Labor Day weekend to go on a little vacation to Florida. So, the next day we packed our bags and filled our 12 seat car rental with more floats than actual people and snack food to last a zombie apocalypse. Trip = crazy fun & amazing memories!!!

August 25, 2017 Friday!!!

On Friday, this week, my family went to Austin, Texas for the state trooper graduation and to see the sights there! In this little day journal, it’ll include some of the highlights of this eventful day including a trip to the Austin Grafitti Park in Castle Hill and some of my favorite foods there.

FOODS OF JULY

– Summers are full of parties, swimming, night outs, and happy thoughts! Also, summer is all about good food and trying new things! During the month of July, I spent a little bit of time in Vietnam and Texas. In each place, I tried and found tons of new delicious dishes that I’m going to share with you in this post! SUMMER DAY LOOKBOOK!!!

On Tuesday was my first official day back in Texas!!! And it was amazing, I got to see two of my closest friends— and they’re beyond amazing! While I was in Vietnam, I did a “bit” of online shopping so all the style pieces in this “Summer Day Lookbook” will be from my shopping haul! The day included a swim at the pool and a little cute walk in the park! Please enjoy and share your love in the likes!! 💗

A DAY IN MY LIFE: VIETNAM WEDDING

On July 7th, 2017 – I attended a family friend’s wedding in Saigon, Vietnam. It was an amazing cultural experience and you can read more about it down below!! Enjoy!!

 

as you can see, I was SUPER pumped for the wedding!!!

 

It was really exciting to get to dress up in the traditional Vietnamese long dresses and experience an amazing part of the Vietnamese culture.

We were only able to attend the reception party because the ceremony was exclusively for close family. It was still a GREAT experience though! 👍
