guess who’s family decided to go on a trip AGAin, yep, that’s right- the Hoangs. My family and I decided on Thursday night that we should use Labor Day weekend to go on a little vacation to Florida. So, the next day we packed our bags and filled our 12 seat car rental with more floats than actual people and snack food to last a zombie apocalypse. Trip = crazy fun & amazing memories!!!
noun. the END of summer, the wooonderfullll home that you’re stuck in for 14+ yrs ahhhhh yay!!!
Today was my last 1st (!!!) day of middle school, wow, time sure does fly by fast. Since it is my last year, I want to spend it doing my very best and succeeding everything I hope for. Despite sitting in stuffy classrooms for looooooooong hours every day, school is important and the ways I get through it are setting my annual goals, backed by my little motivations.
the grass so green,
the sun so bright,
life seems a dream,
no worries in sight
tans and tank tops,
laughter and bliss,
each moment passes,
without even a miss
friends and cookouts,
memories and laughs,
good times to remember,
but how long will it last
the grass soon fades,
leaves begin to fall,
school replaces sleepovers,
oh I’ll miss it all
– Summers are full of parties, swimming, night outs, and happy thoughts! Also, summer is all about good food and trying new things! During the month of July, I spent a little bit of time in Vietnam and Texas. In each place, I tried and found tons of new delicious dishes that I’m going to share with you in this post! Most of these pictures are featured on my (just for fun) food insta @foodsforfoodies, feel free to check it out!
On Tuesday was my first official day back in Texas!!! And it was amazing, I got to see two of my closest friends— and they’re beyond amazing! While I was in Vietnam, I did a “bit” of online shopping so all the style pieces in this “Summer Day Lookbook” will be from my shopping haul! The day included a swim at the pool and a little cute walk in the park! Please enjoy and share your love in the likes!! 💗
“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
I looked up this Bible verse because I personally needed a BIG WAKE-UP CALL. It all started with how a conversation with one of my friends turned into a “complaining fest”- I felt miserable at the time and just spewed all of my unimportant annoyances and petty anger. After, I took a step back and was like “No, nope. I have nothing worth complaining about because there are other people suffering much worse without blessings I’m fortunate to have”. Instead of wasting my breath being ungrateful for what Christ has given me, I decided that I’m going to use my voice to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks..”
So I hopped on my laptop, scouring the internet for the perfect bible verse that described my new goal to achieve!!
I believe what God commanded through Paul’s writing in the first book of Thessalonians, is difficult to achieve but an important goal to strive for in our lives. He says:
