As people, we all experience burdens that can weaken our hearts and trouble our minds. Even now I feel stressed and overwhelmed with school, friends, family, and the incoming holiday. There is so much to do and so little time to do so. These burdens can gnaw away our focus and love for God and lead us astray.


(and no stress or worries in GOD’s refuge) 😉

Matthew 11:28-30 says,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
God calls us to find refuge in Him. In our troubles on Earth, we can find peace through prayer! While studying for midterms or dealing with friend drama, just take a break and focus on the gifts God has given you. Nothing bad can come from Christ, remember that always.


Psalms 30:5 proclaims,
“Weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Through thick and thin, God is always with us. And where there is God, there is always hope (and yes, even with math grades – trust me hahaha). The pressure from your struggles is temporary. Even after a dark and gloomy night, the sun must eventually rise to bring light. Everything takes time, but with our prayers and trust to God, our burdens will no longer feel like hefty stones upon our back, but only wings carrying us to God’s grace.

“The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang, “He is good; His love endures forever.”  2 Chronicles 5:13

There is so much to be thankful for, a simple blog could never cover the amount of love God has given us and our many blessings. On Thanksgiving, we give it up to the Lord. We thank Him and praise Him. HE is our CREATOR and SAVIOR.

Deeper Meaning

I sometimes go days without thanking the Lord for all He has done. Even though I say this prayer every day:

Bless us, Oh Lord,
and these thy gifts which
we are about to receive from thy bounty,
through Christ, Our Lord.

I don’t always truly remember the deeper meaning. God has given us SO MANY gifts (not only that yummy turkey you’ll be eating hahaha) but our soul, family, friends, virtues, and life as well. One of my favorite verses when thinking about being thankful to God is the first part of Acts 17:28: “For in Him we live and move and exist.” We are alive because of all because of Christ. You were able to eat breakfast with your family, shower, watch a movie with your friend, play fetch with your dog- because He wills that you continue to live. It is the ultimate reason to show our gratitude.

Everday, proclaim His love and thank the Lord. Here, take 10 seconds to think about all the beautiful blessing you have to thank him for and simply pray.

10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1 “Thank you, God.”


This Thanksgiving, in the midst of turkey, pie, football, and parties, don’t forget to take some time treasuring God’s goodness to you. Thank him, praise him, and “let those delivered by the Lord speak out.” Even in the darkest of times, thank Him. He will be there to open the curtain for the light to shine through and to keep you company in the hardest of times. His love for us surpasses ALL. Use your every breath and every action to spread kindness.

“I will thank you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High” (Psalm 9:1-2, New Living Translation).

guess who’s family decided to go on a trip AGAin, yep, that’s right- the Hoangs. My family and I decided on Thursday night that we should use Labor Day weekend to go on a little vacation to Florida. So, the next day we packed our bags and filled our 12 seat car rental with more floats than actual people and snack food to last a zombie apocalypse. Trip = crazy fun & amazing memories!!!

Often, we can find ourselves fixated on our appearance and never about our inner beauty. Trips to Sephora quickly begin to replace our weekly visits to church and our hearts and eyes soon lose focus of what is most important.

Our personalities, soul, heart, and dreams are the things that truly define us, not the amount of tattoos a person has or how much eyeshadow is on a person’s eyelids.

noun. the END of summer, the wooonderfullll home that you’re stuck in for 14+ yrs ahhhhh yay!!!

Today was my last 1st (!!!) day of middle school, wow, time sure does fly by fast. Since it is my last year, I want to spend it doing my very best and succeeding everything I hope for. Despite sitting in stuffy classrooms for looooooooong hours every day, school is important and the ways I get through it are setting my annual goals, backed by my little motivations.
